- 2 Unique Hikes in San Diego
Reading Time: 1 Minute One of the best things about living in San Diego is the weather. The near perfect weather all year long allows for endless opportunities to explore the beautiful #hiking trails in San Diego. This post lists 2 unique hikes to add to your San Diego bucket list! 1. Torrey Pines State Reserve This is one of my favorite hikes to do in San Diego and for good reason. Torrey Pines State Reserve has some of the best ocean view trails. One of my favorite trails is the Guy Fleming Trail, it's about a 2 -mile loop that offers scenic overlooks. Another great trail not to miss is the beach trail. Not only do you get beautiful ocean views, but you can take the trail to a set of stairs, that take you right to the beach. For more information on this hike visit torreypine.org 2. Annie's Canyon Trail This has to be one of the coolest trails in San Diego. This unique trail is located in Solana Beach and the trail takes you along a beautiful marsh land to a hidden canyon. As you continue along the trail, you get to a sign that tells you that there are two paths to take. The moderate trail takes you to the top of the canyon, but the difficult trail takes you through the canyon. I highly recommend taking the difficult trail, but as a warning, the canyon does get very narrow so if you have claustrophobia keep that in mind. More information about the trail can be found here https://thenaturecollective.org/location/annies-canyon-trail/
- From San Diego with love
Three years ago my husband and I moved to San Diego to experience living on the west coast. If you have ever visited or live in San Diego, then you know how easy it is to fall in love with this city. Old Town San Diego, 2021 Quick Facts about San Diego: San Diego was founded in the late 1700s by Spanish explorers but, the city was originally home to the Kumeyaay Nation for over 9,000 years prior to the arrival of the first settlements. The city is located on the southern most end of California near the Mexico border. In fact San Diego is so close to Mexico that I have met people that live in Tijuana, Mexico and commute into San Diego for work. It has the most perfect weather year round and is best describe as a mediterranean climate (the weather is so perfect that you can still find homes and apartments that were built without central air conditioning) San Diego County produces the most Avocados in the state of California San Diego was the original wine country of California Credit: https://www.sandiego.org; https://www.trolleytours.com/san-diego/facts So what's to do in San Diego..... Well you will have to subscribe to my blog to find out more. Just kidding! No but for real, each week I will post new content about places to eat, visit and things to do around San Diego. I'm a huge fan of supporting locally owned restaurants/business in every city that I visit, so you will see many places that are only located in San Diego. If you know of any restaurants or unique places to check out in San Diego that are not listed on my blog , feel free to contact me.
